As promised, this is my last winter style post of the year! In my last blog post, I mentioned that red is a consistent color theme in my style posts, and with today’s post, the theme of red continues! This time, I took to styling my trusted gray puff ball hat and red cardigan with a beautiful red midi skirt!
For this look, some other needed accessories I added were a matching red clutch, some adorable peep-toed booties, and my gray furry gloves. Continue reading
With the transition into another season, comes the last few of my winter style posts! In case you guys haven’t already noticed, red is a consistent color theme for me, especially in the winter months. For me, red is the perfect color to help you pop out from your surroundings, plus it is one of the few colors that really any one can pull off, while also adding some sexiness to the outfit. Today’s blog post features one of my most recent additions to my closet, which has a little bit of a fun and feminine twist to it: some puffy, ruffled sleeves!
I don’t know about you guys, but I have recently started to love some dramatic sleeves! This off-the-shoulder shirt instantly got my complete and undivided attention, due to its puffy, ruffled sleeves. Continue reading
In these winter months in Minnesota (or, rather, “Minnesnowta”), the landscape and everything really gets covered in a layer of fluffy, white snow. The coming of the snow and the winter weather for me (and probably many other fashion bloggers) means that I have to switch out my spring/summer clothes to more thick, layering clothing. But, no matter how much time has gone by, my love for vibrant colors and patterns has never left. The outfit I am featuring in this post is no different!
Hello, readers! Long time, no see! I know this happens a lot with me, but I’m sorry for the lack of posts lately! With my tripod having broken and a busy schedule with finals (which are FINALLY over- thank god!) and work, it has been hard for me to find time to do more blog photoshoots and whatnot. But, I’m back! For today’s post, I’m throwing it back all the way to homecoming weekend, 2017, which happened all the way back in October. Though there were many activities and the like on the itinerary I made (yes, I am an uber planner), the place my bestie and photographer, Kenzie, and I were most excited to visit was Kinstone Megalitic Garden!
Hello, readers! It’s been a long time since I’ve been on the blog (I apologize- my life has been hectic with work and school lately), but I’m back now, AND I have a new blog post for you!
As I’m sure you all know, I am a huge fan of black. Black is such a good color that can complement any skin color, outfit, and body type. Though usually my outfit posts consist of pops of color and a lot of patterns, I like to throw in some black once in awhile. Not to mention, a fair amount of my wardrobe consists of black clothing! From coats, to shirts, to leggings, to dresses, I am sure you’ll find all kinds of black clothes in my closet.
Hello, readers! Fall is just days away from starting, and as another season ends, another begins. With the transition of seasons for me, comes the transition of style for me. The warm, bright colors and patterns of summer are replaced by the cooler colors of fall (reds, browns, etc). As it is with every period of transition, it is time to say a bittersweet “goodbye” to summer, and to embrace the upcoming fall months with open arms. What better way to do that than a pretty, pink, feminine dress?!
This adorable dress I scored at Goodwill is PERFECT for a sendoff of summer, with its bright color and fun frilly straps.
Despite being the typical girly-girl, one thing I really have noticed is that there’s one color (aside from green, yellow, and orange) that my wardrobe really lacks: pink. Maybe it was I was tired of seeing it so much growing up (my room was filled with pink toys, decorations, etc), but either way, it seemed to disappear from my closet, being instead replaced with black and other darker colors. With these past few hot summer months and the changing of trends, I have found a new appreciation for pink, and I’m slowly incorporating more of it into my wardrobe again. So, for today’s post (which is part one of two parts), I decided to feature a cute pink dress, which I actually got as a hand-me-down from one of my besties, Marie!
Happy Friday, readers! I’m back with another blog post and this time, it features two of my favorite fabrics: lace and pleather (fake leather). Though I’m sure you knew about my lace obsession (it’s in my blog’s name for a reason!), I am not so sure if you knew that I also love myself some faux leather every once in a while! So, with that in mind, for today’s post, I decided to don a nice sleeveless crop top shirt, and a cute little faux leather skirt (with a beautiful lace hem).
Though I caught myself on a lucky day where it was a bit cooler from the rain, this skirt is still perfect to wear on the warmer summer days, as long as it is not too thick and it fits the weather (i.e. not overdressing in faux leather leggings when it’s boiling hot outside).
With the turn of the seasons and the official start of summer upon us, comes the excitement of summer weddings. Weddings give you a chance to witness loved ones pledge their love for each other, sealing it with a vow and the beginning of their lives together. They are my absolute favorite, because who doesn’t love an occasion filled with love, fun, dancing, drinking, and good food?! Also, at least speaking for myself, I love any occasion that I can use as an excuse to dress up for, which includes weddings! The first thing that people always ask is, “what will I wear?” Well, for me, the dress featured in this post is the PERFECT wedding attire!
For this wedding season, despite the spring months already coming and going, I find flowers fitting for such an occasion. In my opinion, flowers are appropriate no matter the time of year, and their symbolism of love and affection really fits when it comes to attending a wedding! Nothing beats a good pop of color, and do not let anyone else say otherwise! Weddings are supposed to be fun, so don’t be afraid to wear a fun, bold (but appropriate) dress!
