Happy Monday, readers! It’s another start to a beautiful and sunny week here in Winona before we head into the pre-holiday weekend! For me, a staple during these hot summer months are maxi skirts. They are feminine, fun, and perfect to keep you cool while you look absolutely adorable in them.
For today’s post, this pleated maxi skirt definitely had to be featured. Its lightweight, flowing, and soft fabric not only help me remain neutral with temperature, it is perfect for any occasion. When the wind catches it, it billows out and looks so beautiful, making me feel absolutely flawless in it. It’s perfect for twirling! Continue reading
Happy Tuesday, readers! I hope all of your weeks have been good so far. My week has been filled with work, but thankfully I get to end this week (hopefully) going to Steamboat Days, which is this carnival/festival that happens here annually in Winona.
For me, one of the best things about summer (aside from the beach, sun, and break from school) is the beautiful flowers that seem to bloom every year. No matter where I turn, I see color from the most beautiful of flowers. S0, with that in mind, I decided to feature one of my favorite special occasion outfits that features none other than a beautiful floral pattern.
Hello, readers! In the past, my wardrobe has been very cut-and-dry, with no gray areas in terms of what I would or wouldn’t wear. I used to never ever considering wearing things that involved more than one print, or opposite colors; it just never seemed right to me. This year, however, one of the biggest trends has been pattern mixing. So, being the usual follower of trends, I decided to go out on a limb and try this trend, and I’m so glad I did! Whether it’s polka dots, geo prints, animal prints, stripes, or any other patterns you can think of, patter mixing can prove to be a fun and fashionable twist to any wardrobe.
For today’s post, I decided to mix florals with stripes.
Happy humpday, readers! Today is the first of two days off I have per week from both of my jobs, which I’m very thankful for. Another thing I’m thankful for is today’s weather- rain and thunderstorms coming! I myself love thunderstorms; they’re so comforting to watch and listen to! It makes for a relaxing day off, where I planned on staying inside, enjoying some Netflix, reading, and later on, going to my first Zumba class of the summer! The third thing that makes for a great day off of work is one of my favorite hobbies: posting to the blog!
For today’s post, I decided to feature a boho dress that I purchased at a thrift store. Though some people swear off thrift stores, I love them! They’re the perfect place to find some really good pieces at amazing prices. Continue reading
Hello, readers! Today’s Thursday, which means we’re already nearing the end of another long work week (though for me, I still have to work today, tomorrow, and Saturday). I can’t believe another week of my summer has come and gone! Today not only sticks out to me because I’m almost done with my week, but it’s also the 480th Anniversary of the execution of Anne Boleyn, one of my favorite queens. It’s crazy to think that time is so quick like that, and the years just slip right by! But, with that in mind, why not take some time to share with you yet another outfit?
When I first spotted and bought these super comfy olive green jogger pants, I knew that they needed to grace the blog! Continue reading
Happy Thursday night, everyone! Right now, I’m sitting in my super comfy nightgown (don’t judge) and eating a brownie (again, don’t judge) while writing this post. I know it’s late at night (at least to some of you), but to the Night Owl that I am, this is the time where I’m getting laundry done after a long day of work. I also just couldn’t wait to share this post, and since I promised that I’d post it today, here it is!
As I’ve repeated and declared multiple times, I LOVE sequins- they’re just so fun and eye-catching for me. Continue reading
Hello, readers! Happy hump day! Well, it’s finally finals week for this girl. I’m glad that such a rollercoaster school year is finally coming to a close, and now I am (almost) officially a junior in college- time flies!
Anyway, on to today’s post! I decided to feature an almost pleather-trimmed style jacket that I just adore. It’s sleeveless, so it’s perfect for the spring and summer months, but it is versatile enough to layer underneath it when it starts to get colder. Continue reading
Hello, readers! Happy Monday! Today is an especially happy day for me for two reasons: 1) I start my new job (my second one) tonight, and 2) it is finally nice outside! I love the springtime, especially the well-needed Vitamin D that I’m about to receive this season and summer. I love the warm weather so much; I’m convinced that I was actually meant to live somewhere tropical, where the temperature never drops below 50 or 60 degrees.
For today’s post, I’m bidding a final “farewell” to Winter 2015-2016 and sharing with you my final two outfits I had photoshoots for a couple of months ago. Continue reading
Hello, readers! Happy Friday! I’m happy to say that, while I’ve been sick for the past two ish days, I’m slowly recovering and returning to the land of the living (lol). For today’s post, I am featuring an outfit Mackenzie and I did a photoshoot for a couple of months ago. It features a pair of super comfy merlot-colored leggings, a white (almost shiny) lacy top, a black scarf, and a nice black cardigan. As a cherry on top of the outfit cake, I added some accessories and wore some red lipstick to add a bright pop to the outfit.
Even though I can’t have daily photoshoots, I do love keeping a stock pile. Plus, given the flip-flopping weather of the Midwest right now, I think that this snowy photoshoot isn’t too unreasonable!
