Hello, readers! I hope you all are having a great week! This week for me has been jammed packed with sorority events (it’s our rush week- the week where we recruit new girls who are interested in learning more about us and becoming sisters), workout classes (as often as I can), school, studying, and work. Though I love rush week, I really cannot wait for next week, so things can die down a bit and I can take more time to take a breath and relax. For today’s post, I’m sharing an outfit we shot for in early winter, along the Eau Claire River’s banks, on a running trail on UWEC’s lower campus.
I really love this poncho. It is so comfy and warm, and the pattern is perfect for this time of year especially! Continue reading
Hello, readers! I hope your week is going great! Mine’s busy with work and school, but it’s almost done! Speaking of almost done, I cannot believe that this year is already almost done! It seems like just yesterday, it was New Years! Time flies.
Anyway, for today’s post, I decided to share another outfit I wore for my birthday weekend. Continue reading
Hello “Lilacs&Lace” readers! How has your weekend been going?! Mine’s been good! I went to my grandparents’ house on Friday (they live in SW Wisconsin) after class with my cousin. Yesterday, we left from there to go to my FIRST Badger football game, which also happened to be their homecoming game, against Purdue at Camp Randall! Despite expecting it to be freezing, the weather actually warmed up, though it did end up being a bit windy in the fourth quarter! The Badgers won, so it made the day even better! Now, I’m back in Winona, relaxing on top of getting some homework and studying done.
Hello, readers! Well, it looks like it’s officially fall outside, and I am behind on my posts. No matter how meticulously I planned out my posts, I always seem to have a surplus of them! After these next few outfit posts, I promise that I will officially be on track and sharing with you my favorite fall looks and pieces!
Today, I decided to feature a dress of mine that I love from Pacsun. Continue reading
Hello “Lilacs&Lace” readers! For the sake of moving into the fall season, I will be posting more frequently this week so that all of my summer outfits are featured without it being the middle of fall! I tend to stock pile posts, so that I’m prepared, but this past summer, I seemed to space my outfit posts out a little too far, so that is why it is October and I’m still posting my last few summer posts! I promise soon I will be done with my summer outfit posts, and you’ll get to see my fabulous fall outfits!
For today’s post, I decided to feature an outfit with a crop top that I just had to buy when I saw it in the store. Continue reading
Hello, “Lilacs&Lace” readers/followers! I’m sorry for the hiatus between blog posts! Unfortunately, due to my work schedule, I have been too busy to return home to Eau Claire, which is where my friend (and amateur photographer) Mackenzie is. I take a lot of time planning these posts out, and a lot of effort goes into them. This planning includes: choosing the outfit, accessories, hairstyle, and makeup, as well as picking the days and locations of the shoots. The last part of the planning would be choosing the post’s name and date of when it will be posted. Because of the lack of posts I’ve had lined up, and the fact that I don’t have the time, money, or resources to post everyday, I planned these posts (along with the past posts) accordingly so they weren’t so clustered together, with weeks of very few posts going on.
Okay, now that we have that out of the way, on to the post! As you can tell by my blog’s name, I’m kind of a fan of lace. To me, lace has always been one of my go-to choices in clothing. I always said I should’ve been born earlier, and I think my taste in clothes really supports that theory. Continue reading
Today, I’m sharing with you one of my casual looks for summer. I love crop tops, they’re literally probably one of my favorite pieces of clothing in my closet at this time. Though I only have a few (I think I have 4?), I plan on adding so many more of these babies in the months to come!
Not only are they super cute, but they add a little sexiness to any outfit, and they are very functional in these hot summer months! I love this particular crop top because it is both floral (love!) and it has cut outs (extra love!), so clearly, this top is completely up my alley. Continue reading
